BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's and women's track and field teams competed at the KMS Invitational on Sunday, with the squads combining for 11 first-place finishes at the competition.

Men's Notables

Zach Hancock turned in first-place performances with 17.01 meters in the shot put as well as 19.03 meters in the weight throw. Both marks top the NCAA provisional standard.

Tyrique Davis-Giles generated a pair of top-five finishes on Sunday with a fourth-place time of 21.85 in the 200 meter and a fifth-place time of 49.93 in the 400 meter.

Adam Wallenfelsz garnered first overall in the 800 meter with a time of 1:56.38.

Wilson McClain notched first overall in 60 meter hurdles for the second week in a row, posting an NCAA provisional time of 7.98.
-The Chargers recorded the top three times in the mile, as
Hunter Nails placed first at 4:14.53,
Alex Herbst second at 4:16.02 and
Allan Anderson third at 4:16.22.
-UAH additionally came away with the top three slots in the 3000 meter, including
Harold Lacroix in first at 8:24.04,
Caleb Boys in second at 8:25.62 and
Jacob Bishop in third at 8:27.16.
-The UAH men's 200 meter relay of
RJ Nelson,
Timothy McCloud, Jeremiah Dervis and Steven soles generated a program-record time of 1:32.75 for first place overall, breaking the previous school mark of 1:37.73 set in the 2007 season.

Bailey Herfurth placed first in the 600 meter with a time of 1:20.83.

Zakiria Holifield notched second place overall in the 200 meter with a time of 25.09, which is just .31 off the pace of an NCAA provisional mark.
