Track & Field Wraps Up Weekend of Competition

HUNTSVILLE | The UAH track & field team competed at the Camel City Distance and UAB Indoor Invitational this weekend and brough home two provisional marks, one school record, and 26 new personal bests.

Notable Performances
Wes Ellison set a personal best and school record in the 800m at 1:51.54 on his way to a NCAA Division II provisional mark.
Amiah Murry put up a provisional mark in the 200m with a time of 24.45, which also was a personal best. 
Cannon Peters placed seventh with a personal best in the 800m at the Camel City Distance meet with a time of 1:53.12.
Hailey Smith placed ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 15.66 meters. The mark is a personal best.
Catherine Truemper took fourth in the 5000m with a time of 18:35.02 and a personal best.
• Noah Dobbs had a personal best mark in the pole vault and a fifth place finish at 4.35m.

The Chargers next meet will be the Gulf South Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama on February 19th and 20th.
