HUNTSVILLE | The UAH track and field team hauled in 42 total selections on the 2026 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-South Region teams, with 14 individuals on the men's squad and 12 on the women's team earning All-South honors announced by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday.
Ahmed Ibrahim led the men's program, earning Top Region Performer honors in the 5000 meters while also claiming a second All-Region nod in the 1500 meters.
Malik Turner was a double honoree on the men's side, earning recognition in both the high jump and long jump. The men's 4x400 relay team, composed of
Braedon Goode,
Tommy Rodriguez,
Julius Williams, and
Jaiden Young, also received All-Region distinction.
Additional men's honorees include
Jordyn Beverly in the discus,
Wes Egalite in the 110 meter hurdles, Weston Ellison in the 800 meters,
Will Griffin in the javelin,
Adolfo Mireles in the decathlon,
Cole Robinson in the steeplechase,
Tommy Rodriguez in the 400 meter hurdles,
Ben Rouse in the pole vault,
Adam Taylor in the 800 meters, and Williams in the triple jump.
On the women's side,
Amiah Murry claimed Top Region Performer honors in both the 200 meters and 400 meters and was part of the All-Region 4x400 relay.
Jadlyn Debardlabon earned Top Region Performer recognition in the long jump and was part of the 4x100 relay.
Cooper Garrett took Top Region Performer honors in the javelin.
Hekla Magnusdottir earned Top Region Performer honors in the heptathlon in addition to a second nod in the long jump. The women's 4x400 relay featuring
Deja Hines,
Aniya Johnson, Murry, and
Summer Sutherlin was also a Top Region Performer.

Deja Hines in the 200 meters,
Aniya Johnson in the 400 meters and high jump,
Tamarah Rice in the long jump and triple jump,
Caroline Sanders in the heptathlon,
Hailey Smith in the hammer, and Sutherlin as part of the 4x100 relay.
The Chargers will wrap up the 2026 season at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Emporia, Kan. on May 21-23.
