OXFORD, Miss | The UAH men's and women's track & field teams began their outdoor season this weekend at the Ole Miss Classic, highlighted by several standout performances across both track and field events.
Women's Notable Performances
-The 4x400 relay team of Deja Hines, Grace Hampel, Summer Sutherlin, and Aniya Johnson claimed first place and a provisional mark with a time of 3:45.41.
-Jadlyn Debardlabon placed third in the long jump with a provisional mark of 6.00 meters.
-Hope Collins finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.17.
-Autumn Betts secured a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:41.59).
-Cooper Garrett earned a provisional mark in the javelin with a throw of 42.53 meters.
Men's Notable Performances
-Conner Patterson led the Chargers in the 800 meters with a fourth-place finish and a time of 1:52.40.
-The distance squad was dominant in the 1,500 meters, led by Cole Robinson's second-place finish in 3:54.10, followed by Ahmed Ibrahim (3rd, 3:55.52) and Dakota Frank (5th, 3:56.45).
-Malik Turner recorded a runner-up finish in the high jump with a clearance of 2.00 meters and added a sixth-place finish in the long jump (6.76m).
-Will Griffin earned a second-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 59.29 meters.
-Braedon Goode placed seventh in the 200 meters with a time of 21.72 and added a top-10 finish in the 400 meters (49.20).
UAH will return to action on March 27-28 at the UAB Spring Invite in Birmingham, Alabama.
