HUNTSVILLE | After taking the week off for finals, The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team will return to action on Monday when the squad continues Gulf South Conference play against visiting West Georgia. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall.

The Chargers enter the game at 7-4 (0-2 GSC), while the Wolves will come to the Rocket City at 3-5 (1-2 GSC).

As UAH goes into its first conference contest at The Stable, the team features four players that are scoring in double figures with redshirt freshman
Luke Burnett leading the way with 17.6 points per contest, and the team is led on the glass by
CJ Williamson who is recording 7.2 boards per outing to go along with his 14.8 points per game scoring average and his team-high 42 assists.

The team is the best 3-point shooting team in the conference, connecting on a league-high 39.1 percent of its attempts for 12.2 triples per game which is also the highest mark in the conference.Â

UAH opened up GSC play on the road, dropping a pair of one-possession games in the Magnolia State as it fell 84-83 in overtime at Delta State before Mississippi College came from behind for a 73-70 win over the Chargers.

Monday's visitors have lost four of their last five outings, but the win was an 86-79 road triumph at Valdosta State. UWG is scoring 71.2 points per game and also has four scoring in double figures led by Seth Brown-Carter's 16.0 points per contest.Â

The two teams are meeting for the first time since the 2020 season after spending last year's campaign in different divisions, and the Chargers have won four straight against West West Georgia. Overall UAH is 33-27 against UWG and owns a 19-10 record in Huntsville.
