HUNTSVILLE | The 2021 CoSIDA Baseball Academic All-District Teams have been announced, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville is represented by Garrett Bodine as a member of the team from District 5.
 
District 5 for the purpose of baseball is comprised of institutions from the South Region, and voting is conducted by the region's athletics communications professionals who are members of CoSIDA.
 
A 2021 All-South Region honoree, Bodine led the Chargers offense in batting average (.369), runs (42), triples (6), total bases (97) and walks while appearing in 42 games. He currently boasts a 3.42 GPA as a mechanical engineering major.
 
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs.
