HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team returns home to Kelly Court at Spragins Hall with two games including a New Year's Eve meeting on Saturday against Christian Brothers at 4 p.m. followed by a Monday matchup with Union at 4 p.m.

UAH returns from the break with an 11-3 overall record that includes a 6-2 mark in Gulf South Conference play, as the squad most recently topped Asbury on Dec. 18 in its final nonconference matchup of the regular season.

The Chargers have performed well in home contests thus far in the 2022-23 campaign with a 7-0 record in Spragins Hall while averaging 81.4 points per game at home compared to 75.6 points per game overall.

John Shulman's offense has featured a balance attack with four players averaging 10 points or more this season, including
Chaney Johnson at 16.9 points per game which ranks seventh in the GSC. UAH's double-digit scoring averages also includes
Luke Burnett (12.3),
CJ Williamson (10.5) and
Max Shulman (10.1).

Christian Brothers starts out the week's slate with a 2-9 overall record and a 2-6 record in conference play, after most recently winning over Montevallo at home on Dec. 18. The Buccaneers feature two players scoring 10 points or more, including Madison Monroe at 14.0 and Nick Deifel at 10.1.

Union currently owns an 8-4 overall record and a 7-1 mark in GSC action, following an overtime victory over Auburn Montgomery on Dec. 18 prior to the break. The Bulldogs offense is guided by Tylandrius Parks at 20.5 points per game, as the squad averages 70.9 points per game overall.

UAH holds all-time series records of 30-9 against Christian Brothers and 18-4 against Union.

After Monday's matchup with Union, the Chargers hit the road to Valdosta State on Thursday, Jan. 5 and West Florida on Saturday, Jan. 7.
