HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team hosts four games at Charger Park this week, beginning Tuesday with a nonconference tilt at 12 p.m. against Miles before hosting Union for a Gulf South Conference series Saturday and Sunday.
Tuesday's first pitch against Miles was originally scheduled for 1 p.m., but weather forced the move up to noon.

The Chargers have a 4-7 overall record and a 1-2 mark in GSC games, after opening league play with one win and two losses at Valdosta State this past weekend.

Garrett Bodine has been UAH's offensive leader so far in the 2022 season with a team-high .415 batting average to go along with 18 runs, six doubles, one homer and nine RBI.

Overall, UAH has five regulars batting above .300 as the squad boasts a .307 team batting average to rank fourth in the GSC.

A total of 17 pitchers have hurled at least one inning for the Chargers in the 2022 season, led by
Kody Keiser at 16.1 innings and

UAH holds an all-time series record of 24-2 against Miles and 19-9 against Union.

The Golden Bears enter Tuesday's contest with a 4-5 record overall and 2-1 within the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, following a series win over Clark Atlanta over the weekend.

The MC offense is led by David Destin who has a .352 batting average, eight doubles, two triples and 10 RBI in 2022, while the Golden Bears pitching staff boasts a 4.89 team ERA.

Union starts out its week with a 5-5 overall record and a 1-2 record in GSC play, after two losses and a win at No. 21 Lee this past weekend. The Bulldogs offense is guided by Grayson Swanson with a .421 batting average, five doubles, four homers and 17 RBI, while UU's pitching staff owns a 5.47 team ERA.
