BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The UAH men's and women's track & field teams opened up the 2023-24 indoor campaign on Friday at the Birmingham-Southern Icebreaker.
 
 Men's Notables
-Wilson McClain garnered third overall in the 60-meter finals at a time of 8.19. His top time of the day in the event came in the semifinals at 8.14, breaking the NCAA provisional threshold.
-Chris Thomas finished in the top 10 in the 400-meter dash with a clocking of 49.49.
-Malik Turner notched sixth overall in the high jump at 1.90 meters.
 
Women's Notables
-Amiah Murry landed in third overall in the triple jump with 11.64 meters notched in the event.
-Grace Hampel generated a fourth-place finish in 800 meters with a time of 2:23.19.
-Jordyn Dortch posted a 10th-place time of 25.17 in the 200-meter sprint.
