HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team is back at Charger Park for five nonconference games this week with a visit from Trevecca Nazarene for a single game on Wednesday at 3 p.m. followed by doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday against Missouri S&T.
UAH's matchup with Trevecca Nazarene was originally scheduled for 2 p.m. at Charger Park.
Admission for this week's games – and to all regular season events at Charger Park – is free again this season courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.

The Chargers enter the week's slate with a 6-5 overall record and a 1-2 mark in Gulf South Conference play, after winning once in a three-game series against Lee to start the conference schedule this past weekend.

Sophomore newcomer
Brock Butler had a stellar week at the plate in four games last week as he led the Chargers with 11 RBI and five runs while batting .357 (5-for-14) with three home runs and one double.

He is one of five Chargers to hit a homer so far in 2023, as UAH rates tied for fifth in the GSC with eight round-trippers as a team. UAH has also been one of the top run-scoring teams so far in the GSC, ranking second in the league with 90 runs in 2023.

Connor Brooks had his best outing of the season in his GSC-opening start on Saturday, tossing a one-hit, 7.0-inning shutout with four strikeouts. He now leads the UAH pitching staff with a 2.70 ERA over 16.2 innings of work.

Trevecca Nazarene starts out the week with a 0-6 overall record in 2023, following three losses to Lincoln Memorial at home over the weekend. The Trojans offense is led by Josh Griffin with a .458 batting average, two homers and seven RBI, while TNU's pitching staff has a 5.26 team ERA.

Missouri S&T comes into the weekend matchup with a 2-2 overall record after splitting a four-game set with Wayne State over the weekend at home. Dakota Sill led the Miners in their season-opening series with five extra-base hits and a .500 batting average, while S&T's pitching staff had a 4.78 ERA for the weekend.

After this weekend's series, UAH has a neutral-site matchup at the Hoover Met in Birmingham, Alabama, against West Alabama in nonconference action.
