HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer head coach John Carrier has announced the addition of Tate Dean to the staff as an assistant coach.

Dean joins the Chargers after spending the past year at Faulkner University as an assistant for the men's soccer program.

The Hull, England, native had previously spent two years on the Auburn Montgomery men's soccer coaching staff where he served as a graduate assistant while the Warhawks amassed a 14-5-6 record, including a 2021 Division II South Region Championship.

As a player, Dean started 31 matches in two seasons as a defender. As a senior in 2019, the AUM defense gave up just 1.11 goals per match and registered six clean sheets on the way to claiming a second-place regular-season finish in the Gulf Coast Conference. He scored four goals during his time there, tying a team high of three in 2018.
