HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's and women's soccer teams combined for seven College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees for the 2024 fall campaign.
 
UAH's honorees represent District V which is comprised of schools from the NCAA Division II South Region.
 
The Chargers honorees from men's soccer included Wesley Atoyebi, Charlie Garrison, Harvey Hewson and Oli Orzechowski, while the UAH women were represented on the Academic All-District list by Maialen Mera, CeCe Szopa and Carley White.
 
Both Hewson and Mera garnered the distinction for the second time in their careers.
 
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs.
