HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's and women's track & field teams split up competition at the NC State Raleigh Relays, Texas Relays and UAB Spring Invitational, as the Chargers posted three NCAA provisional performances.

Sam Wilhelm led off for the Chargers on Thursday at the NC State Relays with an NCAA provisional time of 13:48.09 for 16th place in the event. He was the highest-placing Division II runner in the race, as he also broke the 14:08.88 recorded by Jay Day in the 2022 campaign.

Michael Gizzi competed in the 100-meter dash at the Texas Relays Friday, finishing 28th overall at an NCAA provisional time of 10.45. He was the second-highest placing Division II sprinter in the race.

Wilson McClain also ran at the Texas Relays in 110-meter hurdles, improving his standing in NCAA Division II with an 11th-place time of 13.93.

Malik Turner won both the long jump and high jump at the UAB Spring Invitational at 6.92 meters and 2.00 meters, respectively.
