BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced their cross country runners of the week on Wednesday and UAH cross country's 
Ahmed Ibrahim was named the conference runner of the week after a first-place finish at the UAH Chargers XC Invitational over the weekend.
Ibrahim won the individual title at the home meet with a 24:07.9 time in the 8k to win. The time ranks eighth all-time in UAH men's cross country history, with 
Sam Wilhelm holding all of the top seven times in program history. This is Ibrahim's second GSC Runner of the Week award as he was honored his last time out as runner of the week two weeks ago. 
The Chargers are back in action at the GSC Championships on October 25 in Memphis, Tennessee.Â
