HUNTSVILLE | The No. 6 UAH Men's Basketball team is set to open their 2025-26 season with a trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Friday and Saturday to face off with No. 1 Nova Southeastern and Barry. Friday's game against the Sharks is set for tip-off at 4 p.m.

The Chargers posted a 32-2 record during the 2024-25 season and finished the season as the third-ranked team in the country.

The matchup with NSU is a rematch of last season's NCAA Division II South Region Championship game where the Sharks handed UAH their second loss of the season, with the first being the season opener against NSU.

UAH held the second-best field goal percentage nationally last season at 52.19 percent and the 10th best three point percentage in the nation. One of the Chargers' key contributors last season, Matt Thurman, returns in an elevated role this season after the senior shot 44.9 percent from three during conference play last season.

Additionally, the Chargers added transfers who all had significant contributions at previous stops in Second-Team All-GMAC guard Quentin Toles (Kentucky Wesleyan), guard Thomas Allard (Lincoln Memorial), guard Rayven Turner (Westcliff), and Knute Wood (Tennessee State).

Following Friday's game, UAH will take on Barry on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
