BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Congratulations to forward Oli Orzechowski and defender Harvey Hewson, who were both named Second Team All-Gulf South Conference honorees as the GSC announced its 2024 men's soccer season awards Thursday afternoon.

This marks the second career All-GSC selection for Orzechowski, a junior from England, who also earned Second Team honors last season. Orzechowski enjoyed a standout 2025 regular season, finishing second in total shots (39), sixth in shots on goal (19) and game-winning goals (2), seventh in total points (13) and 10th in goals scored (6).

For Hewson, this is his first career All-GSC honor. The senior defender made the most of his final season in a Charger uniform, playing every minute of the 2025 campaign — totaling 1,350 minutes on the pitch. Hewson also scored the game-winning goal against Lincoln Memorial on Sept. 14 and was a key part of a UAH back line that recorded five shutouts during the regular season.

Orzechowski, Hewson and the rest of the Chargers now set their sights on the Gulf South Conference Tournament, which begins Sunday. UAH will travel to Memphis, Tenn., to face Christian Brothers for a spot in the tournament semifinals. Should the Chargers advance, they'll return home to compete inside the Huntsville city limits, as this year's semifinals and championship will be held at the Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex Championship Field.
