Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. | The UAH volleyball team began a four-match road stretch on Friday night against Gulf South Conference opponent Union and came away with a 3-0 (25-18 | 25-14 | 25-14) sweep over the Bulldogs.
The Chargers improved to 22-4 (14-3 GSC), while Union fell to 5-19 (3-14 GSC).
UAH led the aces category 14-to-2 over the Bulldogs as
Emily Redman had five aces to lead the category.
Zoe Smith highlighted the UAH offense with 11 kills and also added four aces.
Cooper Garrett had 12 assists to lead the Chargers.
Smith was the team's leader in digs as she posted 10 digs and
Sydney Durban added eight digs to the UAH total.
Kayla Ward led the way for the Blue & White in blocks with two block assists and a solo block.
Next up for UAH is a matchup against Christian Brothers at 2 p.m. in Memphis, Tenn. on Saturday.
