Track & Field Posts Three Provisional Marks at Louisville PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational

OVERALL RESULTS

LOUISVILLE | The UAH men's and women's track and field teams competed on Friday and Saturday at the Louisville PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational and posted 19 personal bests and 10 top-10 finishes.
 
Men's Notable Performances
-Tommy Rodriguez posted a season-best 6.98 time in the 60 meters, while Colin Henderson (7.08) and Elijah Drake (7.10) each posted PR's in the event. 
-Rodriguez additionally had a season-best in the 200 meters (22.20) while Henderson posted a PR (22.87).
-Wes Egalite took seventh with a NCAA Provisional Mark in the 60 meter hurdles (8.09) in a final of entirely Division I sprinters, while Cristian Gibson (8.54) and Skyler Cody (8.55) each posted PR's.
-Julius Williams had a PR in the 400 meters with a 49.94 time. 
-In the mile run, Nathan Knox (4:10.41, 9th), Conner Patterson (4:12.46, 15th), and Jonah Frey (4:14.78, 19th) each tallied PR's and all finished in the top-20.
-Sam Wilhelm had a NCAA Provisional Mark and a PR in the 3,000 meters and posted the number six time in all of Division II (7:59.26). Nate Pohlsander additionally had a PR in the event (8:32.58).
-Conner Hampton posted a PR in the 5,000 meters with a 15:18.81 time, while Noah George, Dakota Frank, and Will Anglea each posted top 11 times.
-Rhett McDonald notched a personal best in the shot put with a 13.12 meter throw. 

Women's Notable Performances
-The women's 4x400 meters team of Jordyn Dortch, Amiah Murry, Summer Sutherlin, and Aniya Johnson posted a NCAA Provisional Mark of 3:48.67 and is the No. 17 time in all of NCAA Division II. 
-Murry and Dortch took third and 12th in the 400 meters, with Murry running a 56.88 (No. 41 in D-II) and Dortch posting a 58.64 for a personal best. 
-Hailey Smith notched a PR in the weight throw with a 15.45 meter throw and the new No. 97 throw in D-II. 
-A'Cynthia Brown had a personal best of 12.32 meters in the shot put.
-Alana Coleman leapt a new personal best in the long jump with a 4.99 meter jump.
-In the high jump, Aniya Johnson had a season-best 1.60 meter jump.
-Grace Hampel posted a personal best and the No. 40 time in D-II in the 800 meters with a 2:14.38.
-Ivy Teachey had a season-best time and the No. 81 time in D-II in the 60 meter hurdles, while Ashanti Slaughter posted a personal best in the event with a 9.07 time, good for No. 85 in D-II.
 
Next Time Out
-The Chargers are back in action next Friday and Saturday as they head to Birmingham for the UAB Vulcan Invitational and the UAB Green & Gold Invitational.
