BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly women's lacrosse awards, presented by Truist, and the No. 25 UAH women's lacrosse team was represented by Isabelle Sawicki as GSC Freshman of the Week.
 
This is the fourth week in a row a UAH player has been named GSC Freshman of the Week, as Sawicki collects her first weekly award from the league.
 
Sawicki had a stellar performance in goal for the Chargers in a narrow 12-10 loss at No. 8 Saint Leo last Friday, with the freshman posting a season-high 11 saves and limiting the Lions to six goals in her 44 minutes in the cage.
 
The Chargers look ahead to their fourth straight game against a nationally-ranked opponent as UAH takes on No. 5 Maryville Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Loretta B. Spencer Sports Complex at John Hunt Park.
