Track & Field Completes Weekend at UAB Spring Invitational and Wash U Distance Carnival

HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's and women's track & field teams continued their outdoor season Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in competition at the Wash U Distance Carnival in St. Louis, Missouri, and the UAB Spring Invitational in Birmingham.
 
Men's Notable Performances
-Eon Morris placed first in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 52.86 seconds. The time is the 11th best time in Division II. 
-Adam Taylor took first place in the 800 meters at 1:52.62 at the UAB Invitational, while Wes Ellison posted a 1:51.39 time at the Wash U Distance Carnival with a 13th place finish.
-Malik Turner hit a personal best in the triple jump at 14.31 meters and a second place finish.
-Conner Patterson took seventh place in the 1,500 meters at Wash U with a 3:48.51 time, putting him within one second of a NCAA provisional mark.
 
Women's Notable Performances
-Aspen Arrowsmith hit a NCAA provisional mark in the javelin throw with a first place finish and a 43.03 meter distance.
-The 4x100 meter relay of Deja Hines, Summer Sutherlin, Keziah Mickler, and Jordyn Dortch took second place with a 46.22 second time and provisional mark.
-In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Hines, Sutherlin, Dortch, and Grace Hampel placed first with a facility record and provisional time at 3:46.79.
-Raegan Miller put up a personal best in the pole vault with a 3.75 meter height and a fifth place finish. 

Next Time Out
-The Chargers are set to compete at the Alabama Crimson Tide Invitational and Lee Flames Invitational on April 11th and 12th.
