Baseball Drops Final Game of Series Against Trevecca Nazarene

NASHVILLE | The UAH baseball fell in the series finale of a Gulf South Conference matchup against Trevecca Nazarene 4-3 on Saturday afternoon in Nashville. 

The Chargers fell to 19-26 (9-21 GSC) on the year, while the Trojans improved to 20-24 (15-15 GSC) for the season. 

TNU led for much of the game after taking the lead in the third inning at 1-0, stretching the lead to 2-0 by the eighth inning. The Chargers tied the game up in the top of the eighth with a two-run inning. 

The Trojans scored two more in the eighth to retake the lead before the Chargers failed to complete the comeback in the ninth inning. 

Ramie Harrison led the Chargers at the plate with a 2-for-4 game with a double and triple with a RBI. Hugh Windle accounted for UAH's other RBI in a 1-for-3 outing at the plate. Sean Lapinskes doubled to round out the Chargers' extra-base hits. 

Colin Patterson pitched seven innings in a starting role for the Chargers as he struck out eight Trojan batters and gave up two earned runs. 

The Chargers will finish up their regular season next weekend beginning with a doubleheader on Friday against West Alabama.
