LAKELAND, Fla. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced their Player of the Week awards and UAH slugger
Brock Butler was named the NCBWA Division II National of the Week.
Butler is the first Charger to earn weekly national honors since John Trousdale was named National Hitter of the Week in March of 2020. Butler slugged 1.800 during the week with 10 RBI, 13 runs scored, three doubles, and seven walks. He went 9-for-15 and and posted a .760 on-base percentage.
The Meridian, Mississippi, native is tied for the Gulf South Conference lead in home runs with 15 total on the year.
UAH will host Mississippi College on Friday and Saturday this weekend in a three-game series at Charger Park, beginning with a doubleheader on Friday at noon.
