BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | UAH senior guard Lili Wilken has been named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced Tuesday. The honor marks the fifth GSC Player of the Week award of Wilken's career, to go along with her GSC Player of the Year recognition.
With her fifth weekly honor, Wilken now sits one award shy of the UAH program record, currently held by Jasmine Hammon (six, 2010–14) and Jordan Smith (six, 2010–14).
Wilken powered UAH through a perfect road weekend as the Chargers picked up two conference victories, extending their program-record winning streak to 14 games. UAH remains undefeated in Gulf South Conference play at 10–0 and perfect on the road at 6–0 this season.
Across the two wins, Wilken totaled 60 points, 12 rebounds (including seven offensive rebounds), five steals and four assists. Her standout performance came against Montevallo, where she scored 36 points, tying her career high and setting a new season high. Wilken was efficient from the perimeter, knocking down 5-of-7 three-point attempts, and the performance marked the fourth time this season she has scored 30 or more points.
UAH will look to continue its momentum on Saturday, when the Chargers travel to Livingston, Ala., to face West Alabama at 2 p.m.
