HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team is set to host a Mississippi duo this week as they welcome in Gulf South Conference opponents Delta State on Thursday and Mississippi College on Saturday.

The Chargers enter the weekend with a 14-7 record overall and a 9-6 record in GSC play. General attendance for all home regular season men's basketball contests is free this season courtesy of Bentley Buick GMC. 

Saturday's game against the Choctaws marks Military Appreciation Night presented by AUSA and Radiance Technologies.

UAH ranks third in the league in scoring this season with an 83.3 points per game average and are also third in the conference in field goal percentage at 47.6 percent. Additionally, UAH is first in the conference in defensive rebounding with a 28.4 average on the defensive boards.

Quentin Toles ranks fifth in the GSC in scoring with a 17.3 points per game average at a 42.9 percent clip. Thomas Allard holds the seventh best shooting percentage in the league at 48.1 percent and averages 15.3 points per game. 

Delta State comes in with the third-ranked defense in the conference as they allow just 71.1 points per game. The Statesmen also shoot the most three pointers per game, with nearly 33 attempts from behind the arc per game. 

Mississippi College holds the third best defensive rebounding total in the GSC with a 27.3 defensive rebounds per game average. 

Following the weekend's games, UAH will travel to Christian Brothers and Union on February 12th and 14th.
