HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Baseball returns to Charger Park on Tuesday afternoon for the first time in 17 days, hosting Tuskegee at 4 p.m. in a midweek matchup. Admission to all regular season home games at Charger Park is free this season courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.
The Chargers come back to Huntsville following a successful six-game road trip, finishing 4-2 to improve to 12-15 overall and 9-9 in Gulf South Conference play.
UAH will face Tuskegee for the second time this season after earning an 11-2 victory on Feb. 24 in Tuskegee. That win marked the end of a four-game losing streak for the Chargers. This time around, UAH enters Tuesday's contest on a four-game winning streak.
The Chargers are coming off an explosive offensive weekend, scoring 41 runs in a three-game sweep of Auburn Montgomery.
Several UAH players delivered standout performances during the series. Seth Staggs totaled eight hits, six RBIs, a home run, a stolen base, and three walks over the weekend, while CJ Carson added four hits, six RBIs, two doubles, a triple, two walks, and four runs scored.
Tuskegee enters the matchup with a 9-17 overall record, having dropped its last two games against Clark Atlanta.
The Golden Tigers are led by Jabari Johnson, who is batting .377 with a 1.110 OPS, along with two home runs, three triples, and 21 RBIs this season. Jordan Spencer also provides a consistent presence in the lineup, entering Tuesday's game on a four-game hitting streak and recording at least one RBI in six of Tuskegee's last seven games.
