UAH Vaults To No. 12 In National Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After posting another undefeated week in conference play and defeating then-No. 11 Christian Brothers in the process, the UAH men's basketball team jumped up to the No. 12 position in the latest edition of the NABC Division II Coaches Poll. The Chargers were ranked 15th a week ago.

The ranking marks the highest for the Blue and White since the team slipped out of the top-10 in the Dec. 6 poll. At that point the Chargers were 5-2, and the team has gone 9-1 since then.

Christian Brothers slipped to No. 15 following its loss at Spragins Hall on Sunday, and West Georgia – UAH's lone loss in the aforementioned hot stretch – re-entered the rankings at No. 22. Florida Tech picked up one vote to serve as the only other NCAA South Region institution included.

Bellarmine found its way back to the top spot and is followed by West Liberty in second and third-ranked Metro State. Tarleton State and Lincoln Memorial round out the top-five.

The Chargers have no mid-week game this week and will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Florence to take on rival North Alabama at 3 p.m.
