Wednesday's contest can be heard on 97.7 The Zone in the Tennessee Valley with Steve Moulton on the call.

RECAPPING MONDAY: Trevecca Nazarene upset the Chargers on Monday night, claiming an 81-76 decision in Nashville. In the setback,
Kip Owens led UAH as he connected on four 3-pointers en route to scoring 20 points while also grabbing seven rebounds.

STARTING STRONG: UAH has won its last 10 GSC openers with the last setback coming in the 2004-05 season at West Alabama. Last season, the Chargers also opened up GSC action against West Florida – in the Rocket City – and picked up a 64-58 victory.

CRASHING THE BOARDS: The Chargers set a season-high with 52 rebounds in the loss at TNU on Monday night, giving the team a total of 223 on the year. Eight players are averaging at least 2.0 rebounds per game with
Preston Herring's 16 on Monday night giving him a team-best 9.0 per contest.

ABOUT WEST FLORIDA: The Argos have played just three contests so far and go into the conference opener with a 1-2 mark and having not played since Nov. 23. Austin Sommerfield has been strong for UWF, averaging a double-double with 19.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 29-15 all-time against West Florida, and UAH swept the pair of meetings a year ago. In the squad's 72-66 victory in Pensacola, Herring led UAH with 18 points while
Seab Webster scored 17 and grabbed eight rebounds.

ABOUT VALDOSTA STATE: VSU enters the week with a 4-1 mark in non-conference play, and the Blazers will host North Alabama on Thursday night in their GSC opener. Blake Justice is on top of the offensive ledger for Valdosta, scoring 15.4 points per game, and Justin Simon is averaging 10.8 rebounds per contest.

SERIES HISTORY: The Blazers own the upper-hand all-time against UAH, holding a 25-21 advantage over the Chargers, and VSU has won the past two meetings in the Peach State. In UAH's 67-66 setback last season, Herring had 17 to pace the team.
