Live VideoTWO AT HOME ON TAP: With a 10-2 record at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall, the Chargers will host Lee and Shorter this week attempting to avenge a pair of road losses from earlier in the season. UAH (15-6, 10-5 GSC) will take on the Flames at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday before turning around to welcome the Hawks at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

GSC UPDATE: There has been some mild separation at the top of the standings with West Georgia and Shorter now in a tie for first at 11-4, while the Chargers are alone in third at 10-5. Union and West Alabama are tied for fourth at 9-6, with Christian Brothers and Delta State checking in locked together at sixth with 8-7 records.

ENJOYING THE FRIENDLY CONFINES: UAH is outscoring the opposition by more than 10 points inside Spragins Hall, averaging nearly 75 points per game while holding the opposition under 64 points per contest.
Preston Herring particularly enjoys playing at home, leading the team with an impressive field goal percentage of 70.4 percent.

SURGING SAXTON:
Troy Saxton is enjoying a nice stretch of play, recording double figures in consecutive games for the first time in his career after scoring 12 at West Alabama on Saturday, and the sophomore is also doing a solid job protecting the rock of late. In the first four game games after Christmas, the sophomore turned it over 11 times, but in the five games since, he has given it away only three times.

ABOUT LEE: The Flames lost seven straight to start the 2015 calendar year before bouncing back with a pair of wins last weekend at home against West Florida and Valdosta State, and the squad is just 1-6 on the road this season. Cory Billingsley sits on top of the offensive ledger for Lee, scoring 16.0 points per game on the strength of a 40.0 percent success rate from beyond the arc.

LAST TIME AGAINS THE FLAMES: In the last game before the Christmas back, Lee pulled away in the second half to win 81-62 over the Chargers. Billingsley had 17 to lead the Flames, while UAH was paced by
Taylor Chapman who hit three 3-pointers en route to scoring 14.

ABOUT SHORTER: The Hawks are playing arguably the best basketball in the GSC heading into the week, scoring more than 97 points per game over the last four contests including a 110-78 drubbing of West Florida last Saturday, and the streak of high-scoring output started with a 96-65 victory at Christian Brothers. A 43.4 percent shooter from 3-point land, Dedric Ware leads the Hawks with 20.2 points per game.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE HAWKS: Shorter connected on 55.4 percent of its attempts from the field and was led by a 25-point showing from Ware as the Hawks defeated UAH 85-70 on Dec. 18.
Seab Webster scored 20 for the Chargers, while Herring was just behind him with 19.
