ON THE ROAD AGAIN: A four-game road trip starts for the Chargers this week as UAH travels to West Georgia for a 6:30 p.m. CST contest with first place in the conference on the line on Thursday prior to traveling to West Alabama on Saturday for a 4 p.m. tilt. UAH carries a 13-5 (10-3 Gulf South Conference) record into the week.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: The Chargers overcame two significant deficits last week, erasing a late-game hole of eight points in an 80-75 win over Valdosta State and then dispatching a 13-point advantage for West Florida en route to a 73-61 victory. Brandon Roberts scored 23 against the Blazers on his way to averaging 16.5 points over the two-game span.

AROUND THE GSC: The conference standings remain quite compact with seven teams within three games of first place where UAH and West Georgia are tied at 10-3. North Alabama's impressive run through conference play has the Lions in third at 9-4, and Delta State is all alone in fourth at 8-5 ahead of three teams – Union, Valdosta State, and Christian Brothers – who all are tied for fifth at 7-6. Eighth-place is owned by West Alabama who is 6-7.

OFF THE BENCH: Michael Gilmore scored in double figures for the fourth time this year with his career-best 19 points against West Florida on Saturday. This season, the Birmingham, Alabama, native is averaging 5.5 points and 17.8 minutes as a key reserve while shooting 51.5 percent from 3-point land. Additionally, Gilmore has not turned the ball over in four straight games.

GIMME THE ROCK: The Chargers have had at least one player record multiple steals in a game 13 times this season with Greg Gardner leading the Blue and White with five multi-steal performances this campaign. Gardner tied his season-high with four steals against UWF and is currently seventh in the GSC with 1.6 steals per game.

ABOUT WEST GEORGIA: UWG is 13-5 (10-3 GSC) on the year, and the Wolves are undefeated at home with a perfect 10-0 mark where the team is averaging an impressive 92.0 points per game. Four players are scoring in double figures for West Georgia led by Steph Branch's 15.0 points per contest.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers pushed their lead in the all-time series against UWG to 27-23 when the squad won 94-84 at Spragins Hall on Dec. 12. Both Preston Herring and Tanner Finley scored 17 to help lead UAH to the victory.

ABOUT WEST ALABAMA: The Tigers are 10-9 overall and 6-7 in GSC play heading into Thursday night's contest against UNA at Pruitt Hall where UWA is always tough and owns a 7-4 mark this year. Deontaye Ewing leads the Tigers with 12.9 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY: West Alabama took the earlier meeting this year, winning 74-66 in Huntsville on Dec. 10, but UAH owns a 48-21 advantage in the all-time series with UWA. Greg Gardner scored 19, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out five assists in the setback.
