BACK ON THE ROAD: The No. 21 UAH men's basketball team returns to the road this week, traveling to Mississippi College for a 7:30 p.m. contest on Thursday before closing out the weekend with a Saturday afternoon contest at Delta State slated for 4 p.m. UAH is 10-3 overall on the year and 6-1 in conference play.

MILESTONE APPROACHING: Head coach Lennie Acuff is now on the verge of a significant milestone in his 27th yeah overall and 20th season at UAH as he sits on 498 career victories going into this week's action. Of those 498 wins, 381 have come during his time on the sideline as the leader of the Blue and White.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: The Chargers pushed their win streak out to a season-best five games, winning in thrilling fashion over Union by a 111-109 score in overtime behind Seab Webster's career-best 38 points, and the team then turned around and beat Christian Brothers 81-69 on Monday afternoon.

AROUND THE GSC: With the 6-1 record in GSC play, UAH is now alone atop of the standings with Delta State and Valdosta State tied for second and a game back at 5-2. Christian Brothers is in fourth at 5-3, and West Georgia rounds out the top five in the league with a 4-3 mark.

MR. CONSISTENCY: Brandon Roberts continues to have a strong season, ranking second on the team with 13.5 points per game, and he has been especially strong of late as he scored 17 points in three straight games and then added 16 in the win over Christian Brothers. A 48.5 percent shooter, the senior has scored in double figures in 10 of UAH's 13 games.

LONG-RANGE ATTACK: The Chargers rank second in the GSC in 3-point shooting as they shoot 39.8 percent from beyond the arc, and when factoring only games in league play, UAH is the best as the mark goes up to 45.3 percent in the seven league games.

ABOUT MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE: The Choctaws enter play this week at 4-7 overall and 1-6 in GSC play, and all four victories have come in Clinton as the team is 4-3 at home. The team features four that are averaging double figures with Antonio Johnson's 14.8 points per game leading the way.

SERIES HISTORY: The all-time series between the two programs is now tied at 3-3 after the Chargers swept both meetings last year including a 70-64 win in Mississippi. In that victory, Webster was one of four in double figures, leading the team with 14 points.

ABOUT DELTA STATE: The Statesmen -- who received votes in the NABC Division II Top 25 rankings this week -- is 10-3 on the season and 5-2 in the league. Delta State averages 74.8 points per game and is led by Devin Schmidt who is scoring 23.1 points per game to go along with 4.7 assists per contest.

SERIES HISTORY: Delta State owns an 18-14 edge in the all-time series, but it was the Chargers who took two of three meetings last year including a win in the GSC tournament semifinals. However, in Mississippi, DSU was an 82-74 winner in overtime.
