REGULAR SEASON FINISHING UP: The No. 23 UAH men's basketball team will close out the regular season portion of the schedule this week as it travels to West Tennessee, facing Christian Brothers on Thursday at 7 p.m. before venturing to Union for a 4 p.m. tilt on Saturday. The Chargers enter the week with an overall mark of 20-6 and a league record of 16-4.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: The Chargers dropped an overtime classic to Valdosta State by an 84-81 score in a game that saw reigning GSC Player of the Week Seab Webster score 35, and the team then bounced back with a 76-70 win over a strong West Florida team.

AROUND THE GSC: UAH now sits in second in the league standings, a game behind VSU who is in first at 17-3 on the year. Delta State is a game back of UAH at 15-5, while West Florida and Christian Brothers are tied for fourth at 12-8. Sixth place belongs to Shorter who is 11-9, while Union is in seventh at 9-11. If the postseason started today, North Alabama would be the eighth seed with its 8-12 GSC record.

NATIONAL RANKINGS UPDATE: The Chargers slipped in the NABC/Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, but the team remained the poll to keep its streak alive as it checked in at No. 23 this week. Valdosta State climbed to No. 20 and is the only other GSC school in the poll.

LEAGUE LEADER: When including only conference games, UAH features the most prolific offense in the league as the team is scoring 86.2 points per GSC game on the year. Individually, Webster is fourth with 19.4 points per contest while Brandon Roberts is eighth with 17.7 points per contest in league action.

SAXTON SHARING THE BALL: In addition to his scoring surge that has him averaging 10.4 points per game, Troy Saxton ranks among the league best in distributing the basketball as he is first in the conference with a 2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio, and he ranks tied for third in the league with 4.5 assists per contest.

ABOUT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS: The Bucs enter the season's last week at 15-11 overall and 12-8 in GSC play, and the team is a strong 9-3 at Canale Arena. Two CBU players are scoring in double figures with Adam Dieball and Jeff Larkin scoring 16.8 and 16.5 points per contest, respectively.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers were 81-69 winners over CBU back on Jan. 9 to now own a 22-7 edge in the all-time series. In Memphis last year, the Chargers won 76-70, and the team has now won five straight against the Bucs.

ABOUT UNION: Owners of a 14-12 (9-11 GSC) record, the Bulldogs are 8-6 in Jackson ahead of Thursday's night game against North Alabama. The team is averaging 78.1 points per game thanks to a team-best 15.3 points per contest scoring average from Tray Boyd.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH moved to 9-1 all-time against the Bulldogs after winning 111-109 in overtime on Jan. 7. The one victory for the Bulldogs came a season ago in the Volunteer State when UU won 92-84.
