BUSY STRETCH: The UAH men's basketball team will play three games in five days this weekend, starting with a two-game road swing through West Tennessee as the team travels to Union on Thursday for an 8 p.m. contest before venturing to Christian Brothers on Saturday at 3 p.m., and the team will conclude the period with a home game Monday at 7:30 against West Alabama. The Chargers enter the stretch at 13-8 overall and 6-7 in Gulf South Conference play.

AROUND THE GSC: UAH currently is tied for eighth in the standings with Mississippi College, but the Chargers are just two games out of fourth (Montevallo at 8-5) and three games out of third (West Alabama at 9-4). Just ahead of the Chargers in a three-way tie for fifth are Christian Brothers, Lee, and Delta State who are all 7-6 on the season in league play.

LAST TIME OUT: The Chargers split last week, falling in an overtime heartbreaker 97-93 to then-No. 14 Valdosta State before
Chayse Elliott scored 41 to help lead UAH to a thrilling 91-90 victory over then-No. 15 West Florida in a game that saw the visiting Argos lead by as many as 22 points before the Chargers roared back for the win.

MORE ON 41: Elliott's 41-point performance will go down as one of the top single-game showings in UAH history, and in addition to that, the scoring total represents the best single-game mark in the GSC this season while also ranking in a tie for the 20th-best outing in all of Division II this season. Additionally, only three South Region players have scored more than Elliott's 41 this year.

SHARPSHOOTING: The Chargers continue to be one of the top 3-point shooting teams in the country as UAH ranks second in Division II with 267 total treys on the season, while the team's average of 12.7 makes from beyond the arc per game is good for fourth-best in the nation. For good measure, the team is connecting on 41.3 percent of its attempts from 3-point range which represents the 16th-best mark nationally.

ABOUT UNION: The Bulldogs enter Thursday's game at 9-12 overall and 3-10 in conference play, but the team is 6-5 at home compared to just 1-7 in road games. UU continues to feature a balanced scoring effort as Charlie Wilson leads a group of five who are averaging double figures with his 13.7 points per game scoring average, and he also leads the team on the glass with 8.3 rebounds per outing.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH is 12-1 all-time against the Bulldogs after knocking off Thursday's opponent 109-90 in Huntsville on Jan. 9. In that game, UAH knocked down 22 3-pointers as

ABOUT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS: After falling in five of six, CBU has righted the ship with a pair of home wins to head into this week at 15-6 (7-6 GSC) ahead of Thursday's game in Memphis against Christian Brothers. Jeff Larkin and Adam Dieball pace the team offensively with 17.7 points and 17.4 points per game, respectively, while Dieball also hands out 6.5 assists per contest.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers now own a 23-8 edge in the all-time series against Christian Brothers after UAH was a big 71-51 winner over CBU in Huntsville on Jan. 6.
Kip Owens led the Chargers in that game, scoring 17 to go along with seven rebounds and six assists.

ABOUT WEST ALABAMA: UWA is off until Saturday when it travels to Montevallo as holders of a 15-6 (9-4 GSC) record, but the team is just 3-4 in road games compared to a 9-1 mark at home. Charles Eaton leads the Tigers and the league with 28.0 points per game, while Gavin Robinson grabs 7.8 rebounds per contest to lead UWA on the glass.
