HUNTSVILLE | The first regular season edition of the NABC Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll has been released, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team has climbed five spots to No. 11.
 
The Chargers started the season at No. 16 in the preseason poll.
 
The No. 11 position is UAH's highest since the December 13 poll in the 2016-17 season, and this marks the 96th week all-time that the Chargers have been in the poll. Additionally, this is the fourth time that the Chargers have held the No. 11 spot.
 
One other Gulf South Conference school is featured in the poll at Valdosta State is now No. 9, while the South Region has two other institutions featured in No. 2 Nova Southeastern and No. 18 Florida Southern.

UAH has started the season 2-0 with in-region wins over Saint Leo and Tampa during the year's first weekend.
 
The team has been off since and then and is hitting the hardwood for the third time on Tuesday night in the Peach State as UAH travels to Clark Atlanta.
