GAINESVILLE, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Florida Relays this Thursday through Saturday, and the squads combined for four program records and two NCAA provisional marks.

Men's Notables
- The Chargers distance medley relay team of
Jay Day,
Tyrique Davis-Giles,
Adam Wallenfelsz and
Hunter Nails combined for a program record in the event with a sixth-place time of 10:06.45.
- UAH's 200 meter relay squad of
Rashaad Pollard,
Steven Soles,
Trevian Jenkins and Davis-Giles also topped a school record with a time of 1:27.94 on Saturday.
- Day broke the program record in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:22.89.

Jacob Bishop had a career-best time of 9:32.59 with a strong performance in the 3000 meter steeplechase as well.
- Jenkins posted a season-fastest time of 21.31 in the 200 meter, which tops the NCAA provisional standard.

Harold Lacroix finished 31st in the 5000 meter with a season-best time of 15:00.24.

Women's Notables

Erin Jewell reset the program record in the discus throw for the second time in the 2019 campaign with a toss of 45.96 meters at the Florida Relays. She now leads the GSC in the discus, improving upon her previous personal-best of 45.60 meters set at the UAH Charger Open on March 2.
- The Chargers 100 meter relay squad of
Ty'auna Ferguson,
Jairyn Russell,
Molly Parker and
Jade Johnson now rank first in the GSC with a time of 47.07 on Saturday.
- Russell is also now first in the 200 meter after a time of 24.45 for 40th place at the Florida Relays.

Marlee Mason improves to first in the conference in the 3000 meter steeplechase after a time of 11:32.96 in the event.
