UAH Combines for Six NCAA Marks and Four Program Records at South Alabama Invite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's and women's track and field teams competed at the South Alabama Invitational on Sunday, coming away with six national marks and four program records.
 
Women's Notables
- Jade Johnson bested the NCAA provisional mark in the triple jump at 11.81 meters, as she now ranks 21s nationally in the event.
- Serenity Andrus broke the program record and topped the NCAA provisional standard in the 800 meter with a time of 2:13.01, which improves her to ninth nationally.
 
Men's Notables
- Zach Hancock had a pair of incredible performances on Sunday, as he hit an NCAA automatic mark in the shot put at 18.53 meters for first place in the event. He now ranks third nationally in the shot put.
- Hancock additionally topped the NCAA provisional mark in the weight throw with a second-place hurl of 18.42 meters.
- Moreover, Hancock reset the program record in both the shot put and weight throw.
- Garrison Hill eclipsed the NCAA provisional standard with a second-place height of 4.77 meters in the pole vault.
- Wilson McClain improved to 10th nationally in 60-meter hurdles with a fourth-place time of 8.03, which tops the NCAA provisional time.
