NEW ORLEANS | The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its 2020 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field All-America Team, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Zach Hancock and Wilson McClain on the men's side and Serenity Andrus on the women's squad.

Due to the cancellation of the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in March, the USTFCCCA Executive Committee has recognized all qualified individuals as All-Americans for the 2020 indoor season, as a total of 716 honors were handed out to 117 different institutions.

A native of Madison, Alabama, Hancock qualified for two events at Indoor Nationals, ranking fifth nationally in the shot put at 18.53 meters and 11th in the weight throw at 19.67 meters. Hancock has now twice been named an indoor All-American in his career.

McClain – a freshman in 2020 – qualified for the 60-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 8.00 which ranked 12th nationally and first amongst NCAA Division II freshmen.

Andrus was set to compete in the 800 meter as she qualified with a season-fastest and program-record time of 2:11.27 to rate 11th in the nation in the event. She is the first indoor All-American from the UAH women's squad since both Katelin Barber and Ackiesha Burnett earned the honor in 2016.
