HUNTSVILLE | The 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's Track & Field and Cross Country Teams have been announced, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's track & field squad was represented by Garrison Hill as a District 5 selection.
 
District 5 for the purpose of the at-large teams is comprised of institutions from the South Region, and voting is conducted by the region's athletics communications professionals who are members of CoSIDA.
 
Hill currently carries a 3.86 GPA as an information systems major.
 
A native of Cullman, Alabama, Hill specializes in the pole vault for the Chargers, as he established a new program record in the indoor slate at 4.90 meters set at the South Carolina Invitational on Feb. 7.
 
The redshirt sophomore's height of 4.90 meters in the pole vault ranked first in the South Region and 21st nationally in 2020's indoor season.
 
Hill additionally garnered First Team All-GSC in the pole vault with a height of 4.75 meters at the 2020 GSC Indoor Championships.
