Â
"We are excited to be part of this prestigious event with some of nation's best programs, and we are honored to be considered one of them," head coach
John Shulman said. "It will be a special weekend involving eight elite teams along with a terrific Hall of Fame ceremony. It should be a great way to start the season."
Â
Other teams participating in the event include Rockhurst, St. Thomas Aquinas, Northwest Missouri State, Northern State, and Missouri Western.
Â
"We are thrilled with the quality of teams, along with another impressive, highly qualified Hall of Fame Induction Class," said John McCarthy, Founder of Small College Basketball. "For those that enjoy NCAA Division II basketball, these teams and these matchups will be a real treat. Importantly, I'd like to thank the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association for providing the exemption for this event and for their continued support.  Additionally, I'd like to thank Hillyard, as they've continued to support this event as the Presenting Sponsor for each year that we've been in St. Joseph." McCarthy continued, "It's exciting to be back in St. Joseph, as the people are wonderful, while the Missouri Theatre is dripping with history and the Civic Arena is the right size for this event. It's wonderful to work with high quality people that embrace our event, and we're really looking forward to November."
Â
This will mark the fifth SCB National Hall of Fame Classic and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which began in 2016.
