BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference has announced its weekly men's track & field honorees on Wednesday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Cameron Clark as GSC Field Athlete of the Week and Sam Wilhelm as GSC Freshman of the Week.
 
This is the first career weekly GSC honor for both Clark and Wilhelm.
 
A native of Irondale, Alabama, Clark finished first overall in the high jump at 1.95 meters at the KMS Invitational this past Sunday. He now ranks first in the GSC in the high jump in 2022.
 
Wilhelm also competed at the KMS Invitational, where he posted a second-place time of 8:29.84 in 3000 meters. His time in 3000 meters is the second-fastest by a GSC freshman this season.
 
UAH looks ahead to the Clemson Bob Pollock Meet this Friday and Saturday in Clemson, South Carolina.
