HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team is back at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall for two Gulf South Conference matchups this week against Delta State on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Mississippi College on Saturday at 4 p.m.

UAH enters the week's slate with a 17-6 overall record that includes a 12-5 record in GSC action, following a 61-55 win on the road at Lee this past Saturday. The Chargers are currently tied for third in the GSC standings with seven games remaining in the 2022-23 regular season.

Head coach
John Shulman's offense features a total of four players averaging 10 points or more per game, including
Chaney Johnson (15.7 PPG),
Luke Burnett (12.8 PPG),
Max Shulman (11.2 PPG) and
CJ Williamson (10.8 PPG). Johnson's team-high 15.7 points per game rates 10th in the GSC to start the week.

The Chargers currently rank 24th in the nation and first in the GSC in assist to turnover ratio at a mark of 1.36, led by
Jack Kostel who rates 28th individually in the nation with a 2.55 assist to turnover ratio. Kostel has helped guide the UAH offense with a team-high 74 assists, which are fourth in the GSC this season.

UAH holds all-time series records of 25-22 against Delta State and 12-7 against Mississippi College.

Delta State opens the week with a 6-15 overall record and a 5-13 mark in conference play this season, following a 67-64 loss at home to Auburn Montgomery on Saturday. The Statesmen are led by Malik Cartwright's 20.2 points per game in 2022-23.

Mississippi College starts the week's schedule with a 12-10 overall record that includes an 8-10 mark in GSC games, after most recently topping Montevallo at home by a score of 75-67 on Saturday. The Choctaws offense is guided by Tradavis Thompson (18.2 PPG) and Galen Smith (15.7 PPG).
