HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team wraps up the 2022-23 regular season at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall this week with visits from West Florida on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. followed by Valdosta State on Saturday at 4 p.m.

General admission attendance is free this regular season, courtesy of Bill Penney Toyota. Single game tickets for reserved seating are also available.
UAH has earned the right to host a first-round matchup for the 2023 Gulf South Conference Men's Basketball Championships on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.
Tickets are now available with reserved seating at $12 per ticket and general admission at $10 per ticket.

The Chargers are currently in a two-way tie atop the GSC standings with West Alabama with both teams sitting at 17-5 in conference play. The top four of the conference is yet to be decided with UAH (17-5 GSC), UWA (17-5 GSC), Lee (16-6 GSC) and West Georgia (15-7 GSC) all still vying for the GSC regular season title.

The Blue & White enter the week's slate riding a seven-game win streak with a 22-6 overall record that includes their 17-5 mark in GSC play, following an 86-71 win at Christian Brothers on Saturday.

UAH's offense features two players in the top 20 in the GSC in scoring this season, including
Chaney Johnson in eighth at a team-high 16.1 points per game and
Luke Burnett in 17th at 13.6 points per game. Additionally, Johnson is sixth in the league with 6.8 rebounds per game, while Burnett leads the GSC and ranks 17th nationally with 3.1 three-pointers made per game.

West Florida comes into Thursday's contest with a 13-13 overall record and a 9-13 mark in GSC action, following a 102-79 win at home over Montevallo on Saturday. The Argos offense averages 72.3 points per game led by LaTrell Tate (16.7 PPG), while UWF's defense holds the opposition to 71.3 points per game.

Valdosta State enters the week's schedule with an 18-10 overall record and a 14-8 GSC record, after most recently topping Auburn Montgomery at home on Saturday by a score of 106-88. The Blazers offense averages 87.0 points per game led by Jacolbey Owens (15.8 PPG), while VSU's defense holds teams to 79.9 points per game.
