NEW ORLEANS | The UAH men's track & field team was represented by Michael Gizzi and Sam Wilhelm as USTFCCCA Second Team Indoor All-Americans following the conclusion of the 2024 indoor season over the weekend.
 
A native of Covington, Georgia, Gizzi wrapped up the indoor season at the 2024 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships on Friday with a 12th-place time of 21.69 in the 200-meter dash.
 
This is the second time in his career he has been named an All-American in the 200-meter race.
 
Wilhelm becomes an All-American in both cross country and track & field this academic year with a 10th-place time of 14:09.71 in the 5000-meter race at Indoor Nationals.
 
He earned All-American status in the 2023 cross country season, achieving a top-40 time in the 10k race at Nationals.
 
UAH looks ahead to the start of the 2024 outdoor campaign at the Montevallo Falcons Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
