BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The UAH men's track & field team was represented twice in the Gulf South Conference weekly honors with
Sam Wilhelm earning GSC Track Athlete of the Week and
Ayden Walton garnering GSC Field Athlete of the Week.

Wilhelm ran the fastest 5000-meter race in NCAA Division II at the NC State Raleigh Relays at a program-record time of 13:48.09, which gave him 16th overall in the race that primarily consisted of Division I and professional athletes.

Ayden Walton had a pair of strong performances at the UAB Spring Invitational, posting the second-best triple jump and high jump in the GSC this season at 13.72 meters and 2.00 meters, respectively. He earned first place in the high jump at UAB, while placing fourth in the triple jump.

UAH is back in action on Friday and Saturday split up between the Crimson Tide Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and the Lee Flames Invitational in Cleveland, Tennessee.
