HUNTSVILLE | UAH Track and Field head coach David Cain has announced the hiring of Cade Finley as assistant coach ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Finley will work primarily with the Chargers throwers for both the men's and women's teams.

A native of Florence, Alabama, Finley comes to the Chargers after coaching for two years at Brooks High School in Killen, Alabama, where he coached three AHSAA State Champions as well as eight state medalists. In his time at Brooks, he also guided the squads to a 4A Girls AHSAA Championship in 2023 in addition to a 4A Boys runner-up finish in 2024.

A 2022 graduate of Mississippi State, Finley participated in the track and field team as a discus and weight thrower. In his senior season, he place Top 15 in the SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the discus throw.

Finley will help guide the Chargers who finished in the top three at the Gulf South Conference indoor and outdoor championships.
