HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team is second in the first South Region rankings as announced by the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship committee.
 
Reigning NCAA Division II runner-up Nova Southeastern is first in the initial NCAA South Region rankings and is the only team to defeat UAH in a 105-104 overtime win in the Chargers' first game of the season.
 
The Blue & White are joined in the top eight of the South Region by fellow Gulf South Conference teams Valdosta State at fourth and Montevallo at eighth.
 
The top eight seeds in the NCAA South Region will earn berths to the regional tournament at the No. 1 seed March 15-19.
 
The Chargers own a 26-1 overall record that includes a 22-1 mark against South Region opponents, as UAH looks ahead to its final regular season matchups this week at West Alabama on Thursday.
 
UAH has locked in the top seed for the 2025 Truist GSC Men's Basketball Championship and awaits the results of the weekend to determine who they will host in the first round on March 4th.
