OXFORD, Miss. | The UAH men's and women's track & field teams kicked off their outdoor season on Friday and Saturday in competition at the Ole Miss Classic in Oxford, Mississippi.
 
Men's Notable Performances
-Conner Patterson notched a NCAA provisional time and personal best in the 800 meters in his first competition of the outdoor season with a 1:50.89 mark.
-Nathan Knox took second place in the 1,500 meters with a NCAA provisional mark and personal best time of 3:47.98. The time is also a school record.
-Malik Turner took fourth place in the long jump with a distance of 7.15 meters, along with a sixth place finish in the high jump at 1.95 meters. 
 
Women's Notable Performances
-Aspen Arrowsmith hit a NCAA provisional mark in the javelin throw with a first place finish and a 44.71 meter distance.
-Grace Hampel took first place in the 800 meters, coming in with a time of 2:15.86. 
-Ivy Teachey hauled in third place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.63.
-Raegan Miller hit a personal best and school record mark in the pole vault at 3.72 meters.

Next Time Out
-UAH will compete in multiple locations next week at the Wash U Distance Carnival in St. Louis on Thursday and Friday and the UAB Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
