BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The UAH track & field team was back in action on Saturday at the Birmingham Crossplex as they competed in the Samford Open. The Chargers hauled in 12 top-five results along with a pair of NCAA provisional marks.
RESULTS
Notable Performances
•
Tamarah Rice took third place in the triple jump with a leap of 11.77m which represented a NCAA provisional mark.
•
Caroline Sanders placed first with a NCAA provisional mark in the long jump at 5.73m.
• In the 800m,
Conner Patterson took second place at 1:53.04, while
Cannon Peters took third with a time of 1:53.64.
•
Ben Rouse placed first in the pole vault at 4.56m, a personal best.
•
Jonah Frey posted a personal best and a fourth place finish in the mile at 4:13.51.
•
Autumn Betts and
Lexi Hinote took sixth and seventh in the 3000m at 10:31.26 and 10:32.07, both personal best times.
•
Sarah Tang had a personal best throw in the weight throw and a seventh place finish at 16.25m.
Next up for the Chargers is a trip to Indianapolis to compete at the Crossroads of America meet on January 23rd and 24th.
