WE MEET AGAIN: Just two weeks since meeting them previously, the No. 18 UAH men's basketball team will hit the road to Rome, Georgia, to play Shorter at 7 p.m. CST on Thursday and then turn around to host Lee at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Chargers enter the week at 16-4 (12-2 Gulf South Conference).

LAST TIME OUT: The Chargers hit a season-high 19 3-pointers en route to beating North Alabama 105-88, and UAH was led by
Brandon Roberts and
Justin Ward who scored 26 and 25, respectively, in the victory.

GSC UPDATE: UAH and Valdosta State are once again tied atop the standings at 12-2, and both teams have a three-game lead on third-place Christian Brothers who owns a 9-5 mark. In fourth is Delta State at 8-5, West Florida is fifth with an 8-6 record, and Shorter, UNA, and Union are all tied for sixth with 6-8 records.

SEASON HIGHS: The Chargers shot a season-best 66.1 percent in the victory over North Alabama, and that mark also represents the best shooting night by a UAH team since the squad connected on 66.7 percent of its attempts at West Georgia on Jan. 27, 2007. Additionally, the team dished out a season-best 27 assists including 10 from
Troy Saxton and a career-best seven from
Kip Owens.

AT THE STRIPE: UAH is shooting 78.6 percent at the free throw line this season which presently ranks tops in the GSC, and it is the ninth-best mark in the country. Owens has gone 34-for-36 (94.4 percent) at the line, while Roberts is connecting on 81.7 percent of his attempts by going 67-for-82.

ABOUT SHORTER: After knocking off Lee on Monday, the Hawks are now 12-8 (6-8 GSC) on the year, and the team is 7-4 in Rome. The team is scoring nearly 84 points per game, and Phil Taylor continues to pace the Hawks with a scoring average of 33.8 points per contest. Eric Ross is averaging a double-double with 10.3 points per game to go along with 13.0 boards per game.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are now 9-2 all-time against the Hawks after six players scored in double figures in an 83-75 victory in the Rocket City on Jan. 19. Last year in Rome,
Seab Webster scored 24 to guide UAH to a 96-78 win.

ABOUT LEE: The Flames have dropped five straight contests heading into Thursday's home against North Alabama, and the squad is 9-11 (5-9 GSC). Keevin Tyus is scoring 17.2 points per game to lead a trio of Flames that are averaging in double figures.

SERIES HISTORY: After coming out on the good side of an exciting 101-94 game that saw Roberts score 34 points, UAH now holds an 8-3 advantage all-time against Lee. When the two programs met in Huntsville last season, UAH was an 88-75 winner behind a 27-point showing from Ward.
